The Club
A Social and Support Program for those with
Early-Stage Alzheimer’s or related memory loss.
The Club Program Events for October 2009
The Club has two goals: the first is to help members continue functioning at the highest level possible; the second is to provide caregivers with resources to help reduce the stress of caring for their loved ones.
• Social and recreational activities with other
members experiencing similar challenges. A
typical day for participants includes social
hours in the mornings, followed by an outing
to museums, cultural or historical sites.
• Lunch is an integral part of the day and can
range from local restaurants to picnics in
scenic locations.
• Transportation is provided for all off-site trips.
• Club participants and their family members are also offered a support group led by a licensed therapist certified in geriatric counseling. Private counseling is also available for participants and their family members.
The Club meets every Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday.
Fees: Private pay and limited government funding. |
